Seen at last on Gozran 30th: a kobold queen standing at the far side of the pit in her throne room, hurling barrage after barrage of magic missiles down at the intruders and at the brother she had exiled. She did not surrender.
Personality
Implacable, and patient in the way of a grudge kept for five hundred years. By Kolgan's telling she does not consider the slaughter of the surface dwellers a cost of her plan so much as the point of it.
Backstory
First-born of the kobold royal line and ruler of the warren beneath Otari. Zolgran was raising a dragon under the town and fattening it on fish stolen from the Otari Fishery, intending to loose it on the surface and settle the grievance her people have nursed since they were driven out of Otari centuries ago. She exiled her younger brother Kolgan for opposing her. She died on Gozran 30th, 4723 AR, in her own throne room: her brother came back with the surface-dwellers at his side, her warriors laid down their arms, and Beans crossed the pit on new wings and struck her down. Her spellbook, her dragon eggshell necklace, and a strange letter she had no obvious business owning went to the party.
